Find Healing After an Abortion
When I was just 16 years old, I did the unthinkable and I had an abortion. I did not want to do this, I was pressured into this decision, but in the end, it was still my choice. (You can read my testimony here.)
Abortion not only kills babies, but it also harms the mother for the rest of her life. Depression and feelings of shame, guilt and suicide are very normal. I know this firsthand, I almost took my life.

But I am here to tell you that there is hope and there is redemption after having an abortion! No matter what we’ve done in our past, God will forgive us if we humbly ask Him. If you’ve gone through an abortion and you need help and healing, please start by joining me in this prayer today.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You today to ask for Your forgiveness. Lord, You know what I did to my baby. I know how much this hurt me and I understand that this hurt You, too. Jesus, please forgive me for taking the life of my baby. I confess it was a sin to take my baby's life.
I know I don’t deserve Your forgiveness, but You are a righteous and loving God. Your Word says that You will bury my sins in the deepest part of the ocean, and never remember them again. Please help me to forgive myself and the people who were involved in this terrible choice that I made.
Thank you, Jesus, for healing me and hearing my prayer.
I ask this in Your Holy Name.

A couple of years ago, my friend talked me in to going on a Deeper Still weekend retreat. If you've read my testimony on the about page, I have a history of abuse, and I also had an abortion when I was 16 years old. I have been through many years of counseling and prayers, but during this weekend with Deeper Still Ministry team, Jesus tremendously healed my heart and I received much healing from my past traumas as well. I do not want to minimize the power of the Word of God, so I encourage you to read these scriptures out loud and to memorize them and believe what God says to you.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7)
Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)
